Dassault Falcon 2000LX
The successor to the 2000EX, the Falcon 2000LX was launched in 2009 and is fitted with a number of developments which combine to increase performance, efficiency and comfort. Firstly, the upgraded engines give the aircraft a greater range of nearly 7,500 km and an increased maximum cruise speed. Secondly, the LX features brand-new wings, designed to reduce drag by up to 5%, making it much more fuel-efficient than its predecessor and, in fact, than any other aircraft in its category of Large Business Jets. Thirdly, being a more recent aircraft means that the LX offers a much more modern interior, equipped with a state-of-the-art entertainment system, noise-reduction technology and more comfortable seating for up to 10 passengers. All things considered, Dassault has upgraded every area of the 2000EX to create the Falcon 2000LX, an extremely efficient and comfortable corporate jet, bound to provide an exceptional service whether you are travelling for business or pleasure.

History
On the eve of EBACE 2007, Dassault announced the Falcon 2000LX as an enhanced version of the 2000EX EASy, featuring the addition of winglets for improved performance. The LX represented Dassault's commitment to continuous improvement of the Falcon 2000 platform.
The aircraft was available as a retrofit option on the production line from early 2008, allowing customers to upgrade their 2000EX EASy aircraft with the winglet package. This flexibility demonstrated Dassault's customer-focused approach to aircraft development.
The 2000LX received EASA certification on April 23, 2009, followed by FAA approval on April 29, 2009. The winglets became standard equipment on all production aircraft from 2010 following these certifications.
The winglet addition provided enhanced fuel efficiency and extended range compared to the 2000EX EASy. The 2000LX remained in production until being replaced by the 2000LXS by the end of 2014, which featured additional improvements including EASy II avionics and full-length inboard slats for better airport performance.
FAQ
How does the Falcon 2000LX compare to the Challenger 605?
The Falcon 2000LX flies up to 7,408 km (4,000 nm) at 893 km/h (482 kts), while the Bombardier Challenger 605 reaches 6,856 km (3,756 nm) at about 870 km/h (459 kts). The Challenger 605 offers a wider cabin, seating 10–12 passengers, whereas the Falcon 2000LX is known for its fuel efficiency and lower operating costs on long-haul routes.
How does the Falcon 2000LX compare to the Falcon 2000LXS?
Produced from 2009 to 2014, the Falcon 2000LX combined Pratt & Whitney PW308C engines with blended winglets to extend range to 7,408 km (4,000 nm). The Falcon 2000LXS, introduced in 2013, kept the same range but added aerodynamic refinements and short-field capability from the Falcon 2000S. In practice, the 2000LXS blends long-haul performance with improved airport access, making it the more versatile option.
How far can the Falcon 2000LX fly on a charter flight?
The Falcon 2000LX has an NBAA IFR range of 7,408 km (4,000 nm). This permits nonstop routes such as Paris–New York or Geneva–Dubai. Range depends on payload and weather conditions, but the aircraft is widely used for transatlantic flights and intercontinental connections between business and leisure hubs.
Where does the Falcon 2000LX fit within the Falcon 2000 family?
The Falcon 2000LX, introduced in 2009, is the successor to the Falcon 2000EX EASy. It retained the same cabin layout and Pratt & Whitney PW308C engines but gained blended winglets for better aerodynamics. This improved fuel efficiency and extended the range to about 7,408 km (4,000 nm). Unlike the Falcon 2000S, which was developed as a shorter-range, lower-cost entry point, the 2000LX marked the family’s move toward greater intercontinental scope.
