Hire a Private Jet to Mykonos

A private jet charter to Mykonos offers swift, discreet access to one of Greece’s most in-demand summer islands. The Cycladic hotspot draws travellers for luxury villas in Agios Lazaros, yacht departures from Ornos Bay, and headline events on Psarou Beach. Demand peaks in July and August, when private flights provide the flexibility and privacy essential for reaching the island at its busiest.

LunaJets arranges private flights to Mykonos International Airport (JMK), just a few minutes from Mykonos Town and villa districts such as Psarou and Agios Lazaros. From there, chauffeured transfers deliver guests directly to private villas, beach clubs, or marina berths, while helicopters can connect to neighbouring islands such as Santorini and Paros, or land directly on yachts anchored in Ornos or Psarou Bay.

During the summer, our seasonal office in Mykonos provides on-the-ground support with slot coordination, last-minute requests, and multi-island itineraries. This presence is essential given strict slot limitations at JMK, where arrivals and departures are heavily regulated in peak months. With our local expertise, clients enjoy reliable access to the island, whether arriving after late-night events or continuing onward to the Cyclades.

Dear Marina, This is to record my deepest appreciation for extraordinary ground service Rendered by Julia. I am aware actual handling is done by folks at Universal, but very often that experience has been terrible. If it was not for alertness, prompt and caring attitude of Julia I wonder Whether Universal would have been the same. Our ground handling was complicated, too many bags and me having chosen 2 different operators. Despite this and me being a perfectionist wanted everything proper and well executed. I must say, it all went like clockwork and my special and sincere appreciation to Julia and you ... The driver of the car was also an excellent guy and he and Sotiris at Universal took very good care of us. Please convey my special appreciation for Julia and your team ... This is the kind of handling makes me feel like coming back to Luna jets As you folks have excellent caring service. Very best regards

Frequently Asked Questions

What visa or entry documents are required when flying privately to Mykonos?

Private jet travellers to Mykonos must follow the same entry rules as any international visitor to Greece. EU and Schengen nationals only need a valid passport or ID card. Many other nationalities, including the UK, US, and Canada, can enter visa-free for up to 90 days within 180. From 2026, travellers from visa-exempt countries will also need an ETIAS authorisation. If you require a Schengen visa, it must be arranged in advance. LunaJets can advise on the documents you need before you travel.

How far in advance should I book a private jet to Mykonos?

Mykonos is one of the busiest summer destinations in Europe, and private jet slots quickly fill up between May and October. Booking a few weeks in advance gives you the best choice of aircraft and departure times. That said, LunaJets also regularly handles last-minute flights and can often find solutions even when the island is at its busiest.

What transport options (car, helicopter, yacht) are available from Mykonos Airport?

From Mykonos Airport you can book luxury cars with driver, including limousines, SUVs, and minibuses. In summer these vehicles are in very high demand, so we recommend reserving early. Helicopter transfers are also common: you can fly directly to nearby islands, to Athens, or even connect between your aircraft and a waiting yacht. Mykonos has its own heliport (BMYK), and many private villas and yachts are equipped with helipads for quick access. For yachts, most travellers transfer by car to Mykonos Town’s Old Port or New Port to board, or they take a helicopter directly to their vessel. At LunaJets, we coordinate these ground, air, or sea connections so your arrival in Mykonos is effortless.

Can I bring pets on a private jet to Mykonos?

Yes, pets are welcome on private flights to Mykonos, and they can travel with you in the cabin rather than in cargo. You just need to let us know in advance so we can prepare the paperwork and advise on the requirements. Greece follows EU pet entry rules, which means your animal must have a microchip, valid vaccinations, and the appropriate health certificate or EU pet passport. These documents are checked on arrival in the private terminal.

What are Mykonos Airport’s operating hours and curfews for private jets?

Mykonos International Airport (JMK) is open 24 hours a day, with no official night curfew. You can land or take off at any time, including late at night or early in the morning. Slots and prior permission (PPR) are still mandatory during the summer season, and at LunaJets we handle these arrangements with the local FBO to make sure your flight runs without delays.
