Embraer Praetor 600

Embraer Praetor 600

The industry-leading Praetor 600 by Embraer boasts a maximum seating capacity of 12 passengers and is commonly configured to seat eight passengers in utmost comfort. Its elegant, 1.83-metre-tall, stone-floored cabin offers a quiet environment, perfect to work, relax or peacefully converse with fellow passengers.

The lush Bossa Nova interiors recall the sidewalks of Brazil’s Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro, with carbon fibre materials, piano-black textiles and sophisticated stitching. In addition to its superior craftsmanship, the cabin offers exceptionally large windows and swivel seats, which can be fully reclined for ideal sleeping conditions.

The generous luggage capacity counts extra storage space on board, allowing travellers to easily access their belongings during the flight. Flyers’ comfort is also granted by the Praetor 600’s best-in-class cabin altitude and the fact that it is the first and only private jet in the Super-Midsize category featuring Active Turbulence Reduction. Indeed, clients can experience smooth long-haul flights, covering a distance of up to 7,441 kilometres at a maximum cruise speed of 863 kilometres per hour, with range and speed varying according to weather conditions, seating configuration and other factors.

Its impressive runway performance and ocean-crossing capability mean that this aircraft can access challenging airports and fly from Dubai to London, London to New York, or São Paulo to Miami non-stop.

The Praetor 600 emerged in October 2018 as Embraer's enhanced version of the Legacy 500, featuring significant range improvements through additional fuel capacity. The aircraft represented Embraer's response to customer demand for extended range capabilities.

Flight testing commenced on March 31, 2018, with 300 hours logged across three aircraft by October. The comprehensive test programme validated the aircraft's enhanced performance and systems integration.

Certification was achieved by Brazil's ANAC in April 2019, followed by FAA and EASA approval in May 2019. First delivery was completed to Flexjet the same year, marking the entry into service of Embraer's most capable mid-size jet.

The Praetor 600 featured two additional fuselage belly tanks containing 2,928 pounds more fuel than the Legacy 500, extending range to 4,018 nautical miles. Priced at $21 million, the aircraft combined the Legacy 500's advanced technology with intercontinental range capability, establishing new benchmarks in the mid-size business jet category.
