Hawker 900XP

Hawker 900XP

The Hawker 900XP is the flagship of Hawker Beechcraft's private jet 800 series. It is extremely similar to the 850XP but, launched in 2007, is more recent, the latest evolution of one of the most popular jets in history, the DH-125. It also features the same cabin as its predecessor, much larger than that of the majority of its rivals in the category of midsize jets.

The spacious cabin caters for up to 8 passengers to travel in the utmost comfort and is equipped with a front galley to provide a great dining service. It features the same eye-catching design as the 850XP, in the form of sleek winglets and a highly swept tailfin, while performance-enhancing upgrades enable the 900XP to better its predecessor in terms of range and maximum cruising speed. The cabin is also quieter, leading to a more enjoyable and relaxing journey.

The Hawker 900XP represented the stretched version of the 800 series, offering increased cabin space and passenger capacity. The aircraft was designed to bridge the gap between the mid-size 800 series and larger business jets.

The 900XP featured a fuselage stretch that provided additional cabin length while maintaining the proven systems and performance characteristics of the 800 platform. The extra space enhanced passenger comfort on longer flights.

The XP variant incorporated performance enhancements including improved engines and updated avionics systems. These improvements provided better climb performance and increased operational flexibility compared to earlier models.

The aircraft offered operators a cost-effective way to access larger cabin volume without the complexity and operating costs of true large-cabin aircraft. The 900XP demonstrated Hawker's understanding of market segmentation and customer requirements for cabin space versus operating economics.

Is the Hawker 900XP faster than the Hawker 850XP?

No, the Hawker 900XP cruises at the same speed than the Hawker 850XP: 830 km/h (448 knots). While there is no speed difference, the 900XP offers significantly greater range at 5,219 km versus the 850XP's 4,893 km range, representing a substantial improvement of 543 km in operational capability.

How many passengers can the Hawker 900XP accommodate?

The Hawker 900XP typically seats eight passengers in its standard configuration, with the flexibility to accommodate up to ten passengers in alternative layouts.
