Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport is located 14km southeast of Silicon Valley and 74km from downtown San Francisco. It is also referred to as Silicon Valley’s Airport. The airport has three runways, two that are 11,000ft (3.4km) and one that is 4,599ft (1.4km). Slots are not required and the airport does not charge a landing fee. It has two Fixed Based Operators and handling agents. The airport has customs clearance and is a Customs and Border Protection international point of entry. Private and corporate aircraft are based on the opposite side of the runway from Terminal A and B, off Coleman Avenue.
