If you charter a private jet to Lucerne, you will be landing at Buochs Airport. Buochs Airport is a civil, regional airport in the Canton of Nidwalden in central Switzerland. It is situated just two kilometres outside the small city of Buochs, four kilometres from Stans (Stansstad in German), the capital of the canton and about a 20 minutes’ drive from Lucerne. Lucerne is home to a renowned symphonic orchestra and to the Swiss Museum of Transport, which houses several historical aircraft.
Across the lake from the city of Lucerne, lies the luxurious Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort complex, which you can arrive at by boat and funicular. The Swiss plane manufacturer uses the airfield for all its test and delivery flights. The nearby Mount Pilatus, which gave its name to the aircraft company, offers from its summit spectacular views of Lucerne and the surrounding lakes and mountains.
Buochs Airport includes a customs office upon request and offers two, parallel runways made of asphalt, the longest being 2000 m long and 40 m wide. The airport can welcome aircraft up to Super Long-range Jets.
