Yes. Pets can travel in the cabin with you when flying private to Alicante, provided they meet EU and Spanish entry requirements. They need to be microchipped, and if it’s the first rabies vaccination, it must be given after the microchip is implanted with a waiting period of 21 days before travel. For boosters given while the previous vaccine is still valid, no waiting period applies. A veterinary health certificate is also required. Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport is open 24 hours a day, but private jet operations are generally limited to 06:00 to midnight. Slots are mandatory, particularly during the summer season when traffic is at its highest. Your LunaJets advisor will secure the necessary slot and ensure your flight is scheduled within the permitted window.

It’s best to book a few weeks in advance to secure your preferred aircraft and slots, especially during the summer months, when the Costa Blanca is at its busiest. Demand is also high around events such as the Bonfires of San Juan in June and the Alicante Carnival in February. The closest airport to Benidorm is Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, located about 60 kilometres away, or roughly 40 minutes by car.
