Kazakhstan's largest airport, Almaty International Airport is located about 20km (40 minutes) northeast of Almaty. It has two large runways of 14,764ft (4.5km) and 14,429ft (4.4km) suitable for all jet categories, from Very Light Jets to VIP Airliners. Almaty International Airport does not require slots and has customs clearance. It has nine FBOs (Fixed Based Operators) on site. The airport has a large business terminal of nearly 3km2 with several VIP lounges and a dedicated VIP building of 700m2 for business meetings and welcoming official delegations.
