Formerly known as Beirut International Airport, Rafic Hariri International Airport is located 8km (10 minutes drive) from downtown Beirut. It is a joint military and civil airport with three runways of 2,467ft (3.8km), 11,138ft (3.4km) and 10,663ft (3.3km) suitable for all jet categories. The airport is open 24/7 and has customs clearance, along with four FBOs (Fixed Based Operators). It has three VIP lounges located on the mezzanine level. The west end of the airport is occupied by the Lebanese Air Force.
