The Spanish Grand Prix is one of the oldest races in Formula 1, having celebrated its centenary in 2013, and has been held at a number of different racetracks over the years. Every year since 1991, the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya has been the location for one of the most exciting races in the Formula 1 World Championship calendar. The track is extremely challenging for drivers, featuring a number of low and high-speed corners and its rough surface causes high tyre degradation, making the Spanish Grand Prix a very tactical race. The atmosphere at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya is always electric and spectators are certain to be treated to an intense and absorbing weekend of racing. The Spanish Grand Prix is also a wonderful excuse to visit Barcelona in spring and enjoy the sunshine in one of Europe’s most beautiful and culturally rich cities.
