Class 1 World Powerboat Championships, Ibiza
The Class 1 World Powerboat Championships took place in Ibiza for the first time in September 2014 and were a huge success. The island will continue to host the annual three-day event, the world's most prestigious powerboat championship, every year until 2022.
Broadcast to a global audience of over 300 million people, the race between 5-tonne catamarans, travelling at speeds of 250kmh, is not to be missed. It takes place around the Playa D'en Bossa, the longest beach on Ibiza's south coast and home to some of the most exclusive beach bars and restaurants the island has to offer, providing spectators with a VIP setting in which to take in this incredible event.
