Each year Copenhagen offers a selection of Christmas markets around the city, from the traditional Julemarked on Højbro Plads, to the fairytale Hans Christian Andersen Christmas Market at Nytorv. There are chic Christmas decorations all around the city, with extra special displays of twinkling Christmas lights at the Tivoli Gardens.

Entrance to the Christmas market is free - in 2022 the theme is Nordic Christmas - and visitors will discover 100 pretty stalls and vendors, selling beautiful handicrafts, luxury items and stocking fillers. However, we recommend making the most of your time and purchasing a ticket for the historic house, extensive gardens and farmyard (booking ahead is strongly advised).
