Two brand new Embraer jets soon to be released into the private aviation arena

The launch of Embraer’s newest entrants, Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 has just been revealed at the industry’s biggest U.S. event of the year: the National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. The Praetor 600 is expected to enter service in the second quarter of 2019 at a base price of $20,995,000, followed by the Praetor 500 in the third quarter starting at $16,995,000.

These Midsize and Super-Midsize Business Jets are the Brazilian manufacturer’s enhanced versions of Embraer's Legacy 450 and Legacy 500. The most exciting upgrades include cruise speed, flight range, cabin space, and improved efficiency and safety. Both equipped with fly-by-wire (FBW) flight controls and active turbulence reduction, these jets present unmatched cuts in maintenance costs and enhanced passenger safety.

Praetor 500, the fastest Midsize Jet the industry has seen so far with a maximum cruise speed of 856 km/h, boasts a best-in-class continental range: able to fly nonstop from Miami to Seattle, Singapore to Beijing or Dubai to Bangkok, it can also bring passengers from Europe to the west coast of the United States with a single stop.

Praetor 600, perhaps the world’s most technologically advanced Super-Midsize Business Jet, offers a nonstop range that surpasses that of its closest competitor, the Gulfstream G280; making it the only Super-Midsize Jet able to perform direct flights from London to New York.

The additional range is enabled by the greater fuel capacity and the aerodynamical efficiency granted by new winglets. Long-range flights will be very comfortable in the lush Bossa Nova cabin, conveying the relaxing vibes of Brazilian beaches and offering generous luggage volumes thanks to the in-flight accessible baggage compartments. Seating can be arranged to accommodate seven to nine passengers on the Praetor 500 and eight to 12 on the Praetor 600.

In Ancient Rome, Praetor was the title attributed to an elite unit of elected magistrates and commanders of the army, who faithfully served their emperor, just like these jets will diligently serve their lucky owners.
