Bombardier Jets

Bombardier Inc. was founded in July 1942 and is headquartered in Montréal, Québec, Canada. The company entered the aviation world in 1986 by acquiring the assets of Canadair, which manufactured Challenger business jets and amphibious aircraft. It later purchased the business jet manufacturer Learjet and in 1992 de Havilland Aircraft.

With over 4,700 aircraft in operation in more than 115 countries, Bombardier’s line of business jets includes Super Light Jets with the Learjet family (Learjet 45 and Learjet 75), Mid-Size Jets with the Challenger 300 and Challenger 350, Large Jets with the Challenger 604, Challenger 605 and Challenger 650 and Super Large Jets with the Challenger 850 and the Global aircraft families with the Global 5000 and Global 6000. The Global 5500 and 6500, which were unveiled a couple of days before EBACE 2018 (The European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition), are enhanced versions of the Global 5000 and 6000, with upgraded Rolls-Royce Pearl engines providing increased performances.

Announced in 2010, the Global 7000, now renamed Global 7500, and Global 8000 are Bombardier’s coming Super Large Business Jets models. The Bombardier Global 7500 completed its first flight successfully on January 15th 2018 and obtained Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification on November 7th, 2018.
